The BEYOND® FlexiPro™ Cheek Retractor is an in-office dental device intended to increase the mouth's work area during teeth whitening procedures.

The BEYOND® FlexiPro™ Cheek Retractor contains a pair of channeled edges that can be comfortably fitted around the lips of the patient, along with a bridge connecting the edges of the device. The bridge features a tongue guard that holds back the patient’s tongue during procedures while doubling as a bite cushion for the patient to rest their teeth on.

BEYOND® FlexiPro™ Cheek Retractor is designed to enlarge the vestibular fundus, increase the work area of the anterior 16-20 teeth and helps protect to the lip area. The softer material and elasticity provide patients with a safe and comfortable treatment. The device can be cold sterilized for re-use after proper sanitization.

TREATMENT PROCEDURE:

1. Apply lip protection cream prior to inserting the cheek retractor.
2. Hold and press together the cheek retractor with the triangle mark pointing upwards.
3. Insert compressed cheek retractor starting from one side of the patient’s mouth.
4. Insert the other side in the same manner after the cheek retractor is securely in place. Make sure the patient's lips are completely covered by the cheek retractor as illustrated. (Pic. A)
5. Have the patient bite down lightly on the interior connecting bridge, making any adjustment to ensure a perfect fit.
6. Compress the cheek retractor again and remove it from the patient’s mouth after completion of procedure.

COMPOSITION: Thermoplastic rubber

PRECAUTIONS: Discard broken, defective or worn-out products.

CLEANING NOTE:

STEP 1: Immediately after usage, apply disinfecting soap to the FlexiPro Cheek before cleaning with water. Thoroughly rinse contaminants such as fluids, debris, or blood off the device with plenty of running water.

STEP 2: Check to ensure surfaces are clean and devoid of damage, contaminants, and stains after washing.

Sterilization: Use EPA approved cold solution for sterilization. Always follow all instructions of your disinfectant.

STEP 1: Place the cheek retractor in a plastic sterilizing tray. Use an EPA-approved cold solution for sterilization.

STEP 2: Pour the EPA-approved solution into the sterilizing tray, then close the lid. Ensure the device is completely soaked in disinfectant according to the solution manufacturer’s directions until disinfection is complete.

Note: Ensure the disinfectant is suitable for the cheek retractor and always follows the manufacturer’s instructions. Ensure that the cheek retractor is fully covered by the cold solution during disinfection.

STEP 3: After soaking, rinse the cheek retractor thoroughly with clean, running water. Ensure the device is washed for 30 seconds or until the rinsing water runs clear.

STEP 4: If available, perform a final rinse with distilled or demineralized water for one minute.

STEP 5: Dry the cheek retractor with a dry, clean cloth before packaging it in a clean plastic bag for subsequent use.

STORAGE AND HANDLING:

Keep away from sunlight, store in a clean place at room temperature and normal humidity.
